A Legacy of Service: Spouses Creating
Positive Impact for Airmen and Their Families
Over the past 16 years, the Air Force Officers’ Spouses’ Club (AFOSC) has raised over $8.4 million to benefit Air Force Aid Society (AFAS) through its annual Charity Ball. AFAS, the official charity of the U.S. Air Force, helps to relieve the financial distress of Air Force members, assists with education goals, and improves quality of life through a variety of community programs.
The 16th annual gala is scheduled for Saturday, April 27, 2019 at The Ritz Carlton Tysons Corner, McLean, Virginia. AFOSC members and the entire Air Force community are invited to enjoy a memorable evening of delectable food, wonderful entertainment, and a Silent Auction featuring treasures from around the world. The highlight however will be the opportunity to hear the stories of Airmen who have recently benefitted from AFAS programs.
The annual gala is driven by an amazing and talented group of AFOSC volunteers who comprise the Charity Ball Committee. It is a shining example of the positive impact that our spouses can make in the lives of Airmen and their families. The 2019 Charity Ball Committee continues to innovate and build on the legacy of commitment to help our Air Force Family. As we prepare for the big event, we invite you to join us by attending the Charity Ball, donating an item for the Silent Auction, volunteering to help with the evening, and spreading the good word about this most worthy of causes.
