Ongoing Service Drive

The JBAB/Pentagon Sexual Assault Prevention Response program has established two billeting rooms on JBAB as a short term safe haven for victims of sexual assault.  These rooms are lacking basic toiletry kits which are helpful for the victim to move forward during an extremely stressful period in their life.  The SAPR program is unable to accept monetary donations, but is able to accept donated goods. The safe haven rooms are intended for short-term use so travel size items are preferred.

Donations of toiletries are accepted at the AFOSC monthly luncheons, at the Service Projects table. For more information, contact Charlene at
serviceprojects@afoscdc.com.

Thank you!

As the chairperson for the Service Projects Committee of the Air Force Officers’ Spouses’ Club of Washington, DC, I invite you to join with us as we seek to make a positive impact on the community around us.

How do we do this?
Each month we highlight a different service organization in the Washington, DC area. We advertise their mission statement and make our membership aware of what the organization is doing to benefit others. Using this information we create an opportunity for our membership to donate goods to the organization, or make a financial gift to the organization when we gather at the monthly AFOSC luncheon.

Greetings from the

AFOSC Service Project Committee

How you can help?
We would be thrilled to have your assistance with our AFOSC Service Projects!

  • ŸŸŸŸŸŸAt our monthly luncheon, we encourage you to support our chosen organization  through a donation of materials or a financial gift.
  • We can always use a helping hand at the Service Project’s table, explaining to our members who we are supporting this month. Service Project representatives also appreciate assistance with their set-up and cleanup.
  • If you have ideas of other worthy service organizations for the AFOSC to support we can certainly use "positive inspiration" for the upcoming 2016-2017 season!

I look forward to meeting you at a luncheon or other AFOSC event.

Feel free to contact Kim at ServiceProjects@afoscdc.com.
