Hi! My name is Christy Whiteaker and I am the Welfare Treasurer for 2017-2018. If you would like to learn more about our Welfare Committee and request a donation please read below.
Our welfare funds come from sales from our Thrift Shop and working with the Air Force Charity Ball.
The AFOSC accepts requests that are for charitable, scientific, or educational purposes. The goal is to reach as many military families as possible with the donations. The AFOSC is unable to fund requests specific to food for parties/socials and does not give to politically sensitive and/or religious causes.
All requests must be in writing and submitted to the Welfare Chair.
Requests should be attached to our request form. Click the button below to download a copy of the Welfare Request Form.
Request forms may be sent to:
AFOSC Welfare Chair
PO Box 1723
Ft. Myer, VA 22211
Welfare Donation Decision Making Process:
Once the request is submitted to the Welfare Chair, it is presented to the Welfare Committee for discussion and voting. If the committee votes to present it to the board, the Welfare Chair will present it at the monthly board meeting for discussion and final vote. The board meetings occur the first Tuesday of the month. After official vote has been conducted, the request may be processed and check disbursed by the Welfare Treasurer.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Welfare Treasurer at email@example.com.
