The Explore DC group is your guide to all things fun in the DC metro area! Want to get to know your new city? Or lived here awhile but not been out much? We love to get out and explore not only the popular "tourist" destinations, but also the lesser known museums and sites that are within 30-45 minutes of Washington DC. We will choose a mix of free and inexpensive places to visit at least once per month, many times with a docent-led tour. Some of the places we toured last year include the Library of Congress, DAR museum, Arlington National Cemetery and the Old Guard, the DEA museum, and the O Street Museum. Look for even more fun, informational, and exciting events in the year to come!
